Despite lacking the services of a number of regulars, the Premier League outfit made easy work of this cup tie.
Tregony held out for 20 minutes until a Stewart Dunn shot was deflected off a defender and past the unfortunate 'keeper. From the resultant kick-off, Dunn turned provider with a pinpoint pass to set up Lee Fedrick who fired past the advancing goalkeeper. Matt Trevarthen made it three when he tapped home a simple chance that rebounded back off the 'keeper after he had blocked a fierce volley by Andros Andreas. Andreas made it four right on the stroke of half-time rounding the 'keeper after a strong run.
The second half proved to be a one-sided affair with the home side knocking the ball around at will. Dunn rifled home from the edge of the penalty area and then provided the pass that gave Trevarthen his hatrick. Good work by Lee Fedrick allowed Dunn to complete his hatrick shortly after.
The goal of the match came from Dave Tout whose strike from more than 35 yards hit the back of the net before anyone was able to react. Karl Roberts left the safety of his own penalty area to score from the spot after Dunn had been felled to make it nine. Two late goals from man of the match Matt Trevarthen rounded off the proceedings, giving him a personal tally of five.
To their credit, Tregony battled hard throughout but they were unable to match the Premier League side's superior playing skills. The game was sponsored by Jeffery's Estate Agents and the matchball by the Highwayman of Dobwalls.
