After three unsuccessful attempts to complete this first round tie the fourth round turned out to be a thriller. Roseland took the lead in the opening minutes when Lankelly gifted Guy Chapple a try before they had settled down.
There was no further scoring in the first half but early in the second session fly half Julian Shakerley scored a brilliant try under the posts which Jason Penprase converted to give Lankelly the lead for the first time. This they lost when Chapple went over for his second score only to regain it when Paul Evans ran in the Fowey side's second try.
The missed conversion attempt proved vital for going into injury time leading 12-10 and looking like being Stithians second round opponents, they conceded a last minute penalty which Robert Ferris drilled between the posts to deny Lankelly the victory they thought they had in their grasp.
