CUSTOMERS at Torpoint Library were quick to sign a pledge to the Caradon District Council's Cool It campaign, to reduce their carbon footprint in some way and in the process receive two energy saving light bulbs. The library is supporting the council's energy saving and conservation. The type of pledges being made included replacing standard light bulbs with energy saving ones, leaving the car at home for short journeys, composting garden waste, buying local produce, boiling the correct amount of water for the kettle, turning the heating down and not leaving the television on standby.
