THE CALLINGTON town hall opened its doors for members of the public to see some of the clubs, groups and societies that are in the town. The event, which was held on Saturday, gave the public a chance to see what is on offer within the town and also gave the different groups a chance to recruit new members and advertise how they contribute to the community. Among the groups that attended the event were the Royal British Legion, who were recruiting new members, the Callington Rotary Club, who were advertising the revival of their carnival in July, and the Callington Space Centre. Out of the 80 groups in and around Callington, only 22 were able to fit into the town hall, and organisers hope that they will be able to fit in more next year by extending into the council chambers.
