BURRATON Community Players will be presenting a new pantomime, The Case of the Purloined Panto, at Burraton Community Hall from Thursday to Saturday, December 14 to 16.

The players, now in their 27th year, have been raising funds for many charities over the years.

The latest pantomime has been written by Leigh Hughes and produced by Jill Price.

It is set in 1896, when Queen Victoria is on the throne and the first modern Olympic games have taken place.

When a young actor arrives at the London offices of Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson, the detective pair are about to be plunged into one of their strangest cases ever.

The show includes traditional panto humour and a strong element of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries of Conan Doyle and features a range of authentic Victorian and music hall songs.
