SALTASH Town Band is preparing to bring an evening of popular music to the town as it gets ready for its next charity concert in aid of BBC Children in Need.
The award-winning band will perform at Saltash Wesley Church, in Glebe Avenue, on Friday, November 20, at 7.30pm.
Entitled Stage, Screen and Television, the concert promises an entertaining programme of well-known music, memorable themes and songs, with the band inviting audiences to join in throughout the evening.
The performance follows a successful few months for the band, which recently won the third section competition at the West of England Bandsmen’s Centenary Festival in Bugle.
Its popular outdoor performances, Brass on the Grass, also attracted strong audiences at Saltash Waterside during August and September.
Now, the musicians are looking forward to another opportunity to entertain local audiences while raising money for a good cause.
Organisers promise a joyful evening featuring the band’s trademark audience participation, with all proceeds going to BBC Children in Need.
Tickets cost £6, with children admitted free, making the concert an affordable night out for families and music lovers.
The event offers residents the chance to enjoy an evening of live brass band music while supporting the charity’s work helping children and young people across the UK.
