The clocks go back this weekend when British Summer Time ends.

Clocks will go back one hour at 2am on Sunday as Greenwich Mean Time begins, meaning darker evenings.Clive Book, of Wales & West Utilities, says: ‘With British Summer Time coming to an end and the clocks going back this Sunday, Wales & West Utilities is reminding local people to carry out some simple checks to help protect and keep their loved ones safe this winter.‘With more households likely to turn their heating on during the next few weeks, we are reminding people to get ready for winter by making sure their gas appliances are fitted and working correctly and they have an audible carbon monoxide (CO) alarm.‘We are also urging people to save the National Gas Emergency Number 0800 111 999 in your phone and call it immediately if you smell gas or suspect the presence of CO.‘Remember if you smell gas or are worried about gas safety, you can call 0800 111 999 at any time, day or night, 365 days a year. The call is free. Just pick up the phone, dial the number and you will be put through to a trained operator who will take all the details.‘Now’s the time to get ready for winter – it may save your life.’
