On Thursday (March 30), the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra will be performing three intimate concerts in rural venues across Cornwall, as the musicians split into the three main families of the orchestra, showcasing the repertoire and versatility of the Brass, Strings and Wind sections.

It is through the Orchestra’s smaller ensembles that the BSO is able to bring its world-class music to regional venues too small to host a full-scale symphony orchestra.

The concerts form part of the Orchestra’s Cornwall residency, a programme of workshops, concerts and community activities from March 26 to April 1.

These ensemble concerts are in association with Carn to Cove, Cornwall’s performing arts scheme for rural communities.

The BSO Winds Ensemble Concert is at Launceston Town Hall.
