A REQUEST by Lansallos Parochial Church Council to buy the freehold of the public convenience at Lansallos from Caradon District Council was recently discussed at a meeting of the council's Community Services Panel. The PCC explained they were not able to keep the toilets open on a full time basis, but the facilities would be available for local events and when the church was open. The panel unanimously recommended to the Caradon Cabinet, meeting this week, that the freehold interest of the toilets be transferred to the church, in accordance with the approved Public Conveniences disposal strategy to local councils. However, in this instance, this would exclude the payment of a three year transitional payment.
