BBC Children in Need has awarded grants totalling £81,935 to three projects working with disadvantaged children and young people in Cornwall.

Callywith College in Bodmin has a three-year grant of £23,985 to provide a range of physical activity opportunities for young people. Funding will aim to improve their mental wellbeing, increase resilience, improve self-esteem and increase participants’ knowledge of how to manage their own mental health.

Cornwall Music Service Trust will use funding of £27,950 to provide music therapy sessions to children and young people living with life threatening health issues.

And 4Elements CIC in Pool received £30,000 to provide music and media workshops for young people in the local community.
