I WOULD like to thank all the people who have sent letters, signed petitions and shown so much support and interest in my campaign for a bowling alley and cinema in Liskeard. As a number of people have been trying to contact me through ringing the Cornish Times I would like to invite anyone wanting to help with the campaign to write to me at Box No 2995 at the Cornish Times offices and include a phone number for me to contact them. I do have a few ideas of sites such as either West Street school for the cinema which would back onto Passmore Edwards which could retain the old building for the bowling alley and car parking, although I do think a maternity hospital would also be a great way of preserving Passmore Edwards too. So as an alternative site I would like to suggest land opposite Morrisons and to the left of the Bubble site which would be a great situation for an entertainment complex. Finding developers willing to build such a complex is next on the agenda or possibly several investors with funding for several sources. There are numerous ways this campaign could become reality for our town and its people. So carry on the great support, please continue to write in, either to support or if you would like to send details of how you would like to help, as several others have already. A meeting will take place in the future, details when available will be printed in the Cornish Times.
