Calstock kids walk for cats

MAYA and Sam Tollitt, from Calstock, raised £80 earlier this month for Callington Cats Protection after completing a sponsored walk from Calstock to Okel Tor and back again.

The idea came from Maya (7) after seeing a picture of one of the Callington Branch Cats in a local pet shop window. Sam (9) decided he would like to help his younger sister.

Lynda Dawe, the co-ordinator of Callington Branch, said: 'It is so nice to see such young children trying to help needy cats and we are very grateful for their thoughtfulness.'

If you would like to contact Callington Cats Protection phone Lynda on 01579 382794 after 2pm.
