Sharp’s Brewery, based on the north Cornish coast, is the largest brewer of cask beer in the West Country and is set to further increase with the opening of a new lab and racking line to help produce more of its Doom Bar cask ale.
The new £2.5 million investment has improved production efficiencies as well as increasing the output at the brewery in Rock.
The new racking system now provides greater automation and operates five days a week, with the ability to produce 300,000 pints a day, a 30% improvement on the previous production line.
