Upton Cross Post Office and shop will be closing for modernisation works today, August 17, at 12.30pm and will re-open again on Tuesday, August 30, at 1pm.

The improvements include the full-screened Post Office counter being replaced by a modern, open-plan counter alongside the retail till, which will make it easier for staff and customers to have conversations.

Improvements are also being made to the shop.

The work has been made possible with the help of a Post Office grant, which is part of a £20m national investment scheme, with 3,000 community branches across the UK in line for improvements.

During the refurbishment the nearest Post Office for customers is at Minions.

When re-opened Upton Cross Post Office’s hours will remain the same – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9am-5pm, and Wednesday, 9am-12.30pm.
