IMAGES of Liskeard’s soon-to-open Wetherspoon pub have been released.

The Barras Street hostelry is set to open on May 22.

Wetherspoon received permission to build the pub on the site of the former Taylor’s Garage in 2016.

The pub will take shape over two storeys, with a first floor terrace area, and an enclosed beer garden next to the garden of the medieval Stuart House.

The name chosen for the new Wetherspoon pub is The King Doniert, in recognition of the last recorded king of Cornwall.
