Three new beers created on St Austell Brewery’s Small Batch have won international acclaim, picking up accolades at the World Beer Awards (WBA) in London and Gold at the European Beer Star awards in Munich.

Following similar success at last year’s WBAs, St Austell Brewing Director Roger Ryman’s passion for the historic, monastery-inspired brews of the low countries was rewarded again this year, as Cardinal Syn picked up ‘Country Best’ in the Belgian-style Strong category and Bad Habit ticked all the boxes in the Belgian-style Tripel category.

Meanwhile, at the European Beer Star 2017 awards, also judged by industry experts, another of St Austell’s Belgian-inspired beers, Sayzon Farmhouse Ale, picked up gold.
