In a closely fought local derby Pensilva did the double over Callington. Callington had more chances but generally there was nothing to choose between the two teams. Callington fielded players having their first taste of senior football and this factor probably edged it towards Pensilva who benefited from Callington's youth policy.

Pensilva's first goal came just on the stroke of half time, Stewart saving the first shot but was unable to prevent the rebound falling to Worden to head home. From a Collins free kick Moy scrambled theball in for Callington to draw level but within two minutes a mix up in Callington's defence allowed Worden to somehow put pressure on Stewart and Wooley and the ball ran slowly over the line to gift Pensilva the points.
