What a difference one week makes. In their last match Pensilva made the trip to lowly Lewdown and were played off the park. As well as having goalkeeper Simon Terrell sent off they crashed to a 2-0 defeat their first ever under the new regime.

Then enter North Hill who in their first season are proving to be tricky opposition. The anthem of the day could have been Thin Lizzy's 'The Boys Are Back In Town', as the young Pensilva side, which averaged the age of 19, overcame their first true test after last week's defeat by recording a 2-1 victory, in only their second home match of the season.

Recalled keeper Richard Rendle was largely redundant for the match due to brilliant defending notably from Leighton Mitchell and Daniel Skews.

What Skews may lack up in the flair department, he makes up with 100% heart and effort, on this display he'll prove to be a valuable second team player.

Experienced Pete Collin scored the decisive goal in the early stages of the second half, in what turned out to be a tense, close affair highlighted by gutsy defending by Skews and notably Leighton Mitchell.

In one particular incident 10 minutes from time Mitchell bravely threw himself at an attackers feet to dent a shot which surely would have tested Rendle.

At just 16 years and two months, Lee Caers collected the man of the match award for 'Pens', voted by his fellow team mates and manager. The decision was close however with the tigerish midfielder Colin Treeby, Mitchell and Skews following close behind.
