Gunnislake maintained their 100% league record with this victory although Pelynt contributed to their own downfall with two own goals in a shoddy second half display.

Pelynt were expecting a tough match against a side with such an impressive record but the home side showed little to trouble them in the first half an hour. However the visitors were caught out when a punt upfield sent a pacey forward free to prod past Ian Ede.

Pelynt were soon level when the home keeper dropped a Phil Hearndon free kick at the feet of Eddie Johns who scored from close range. There were more chances at both ends. Trevor Wisker hit the bar for Pelynt and saw another shot fizz past the post but Gunnislake scored on the stroke of half-time when they caught Pelynt out with another hoof upfield.

The visitor self destructed after the break when Ian Dixon headed an own goal and then Ede uncharacteristically fumbled a routine save to gift the home side a fourth. Pelynt responded immediately when Robbie Petrie scored but Gunnislake had the last word with a fifth goal near the end.
