These two promotion contesting sides produced an entertaining and competitive match which ultimately saw honours even.

With elements in their favour Gunnislake always looked threatening in the opening 45 minutes as they had the better of the play in this period. For their efforts they took a solitary goal lead in to the second half thanks to a Neil Kinger effort.

Roles were reversed in the second period as St Mawes took advantage of the conditions and attacked relentlessly. However, Andy Woodward in the Gunnislake goal was not overly worked as a well organised Gunnislake team defended well.

Eventually on 80 minutes a well taken goal levelled proceedings and with no further goals scored each team had to settle for a hard earned point.

Gunnislake have another tough fixture this Saturday when they host third in the table RAF St Mawgan.
