THE flagship small business centre in Marine Drive, Torpoint, has celebrated three years in operation. The centre held an open day for entrepreneurs who are starting, developing and expanding businesses. There were displays in the conference rooms from Business Link for Cornwall, South West Investment Group, the Federation of Small Businesses, Act Now in Cornwall, Barclays and Lloyds Banks, Made in Cornwall, Caradon District Council, Local Opportunity Partnership Scheme and Trading Standards. All types of advice was available, as well as showing off what modern facilities Enterprise Court can provide. Torpoint Town Council is putting an action plan in place to try to turn the centre around and into profitability. Mayor Julie Martin and councillors who were present, gave out a positive message. The mayor then cut a cake to celebrate the third birthday.
