Kevin Steed of Pensilva went through to the semi-finals of the county individual snooker championship when he gained a 4-1 win over Nigel Veal (St. Ives).He now faces last year's runner-up, Paul Williams (Godolphin Club, Helston) at Probus for a place in the final. In the other semi-final reigning champion Alan Wills (Clinton, Redruth) plays Jason Grigor (Godolphin).
A break of 102 by Alan Snell helped Dobwalls to a 2-1 win over Menheniot in the county team billiards semi-final. In the final they meet Looe who beat Camelford 2-1.
Newquay had a resounding 4-0 victory over Falmouth to go through to the final of the Joe Davis 7-a-side snooker competition. Mike Truscott hit a 56 break and won on the black. St Dennis are through to the team handicap final after beating Redruth RBL B at Truro.
Barrie McIntosh (Grants) has reached the finals of the Under 17 and Under 19 snooker competitions.
