Bere Alston United 4 Morwenstow 0

IT may have been their first win in six matches, but for Bere Alston it was well worth the wait.

Morwenstow are going through a bad time and this was their third defeat in a row.

It took almost 15 minutes for Bere Alston to score when Dan Pethick headed in a Mark Claridge corner.

It soon became 2-0 when Mark Wheeler set up Zak Beesley, who scored with a crisp drive from the edge of the penalty area.

Beesley's second goal was made and finished by himself. He robbed a Morwenstow player on the halfway line before racing clear to round the goalkeeper to score a fine goal.

Bere Alston increased their lead five minutes into the second half when Mike Curtis fired in from 25 yards to seal victory.
