Dobwalls 8 Biscovey 0

Dobwalls unceremoniously dumped their fellow East Cornwall League rivals well and truly out of the Cornwall Senior Cup. Four goals in the opening half from veteran Colin Barrett and teenager Jack Bartlett did the damage, with both going on to complete hat tricks in the second half. The writing was on the wall inside the first minute when Barrett opened the scoring. From then on it became a regular stream of chances and goals. The second half followed the same pattern as the first with Dobwalls determined to rack up a high score. With dreams of a next round tie with local rivals Liskeard Athletic, or St Blazey at the back of their minds, Dave Skews's charges kept on scoring. Steve Tapper and Martyn Hake took the score to 6 -0 with a goal each, before Bartlett and Barrett struck to complete their hat tricks. Biscovey did have one bit of luck and that was when Simon Skews shot wide from the penalty spot. Delighted Dobwalls manager Skews said: 'You can only beat what is in front of you. 'Getting Liskeard here in the next round would do nicely thank you.'
