WORK outside normal school hours has seen Callington Community College gain a prestigious national award. The college has recently gained advanced status from Quality in Study Support (QiSS) becoming only one of around 20 organisations with the award. QiSS is a national organisation and the college achieved 'established status' two years ago. This is in recognition for the work the college does in offering extra-curricular activities to students which includes the Personal Enhancement Periods (PEPs), international exchange opportunities and space centre courses. The college was praised for its unique work in this area, for being innovative in running PEPs, forwarding thinking and willing to take risks.
