Looe Music Festival is all set to welcome thousands of revellers to three days of live music on the beach and beyond (tomorrow, September 23, to Sunday, September 25).
Set for the main stage are headline acts Bryan Ferry, Wilko Johnson and the Fun Lovin’ Criminals, supported by Seth Lakeman, Alabama 3 and Ferocious Dog. Craig Charles, Eddi Reader and King Kurt join them, and local acts in the line-up include Willie and the Bandits, Company B, the Fishermen’s Friends, and many more.
More than 9,000 visitors each day are expected to see 90 bands on five stages during the festival, which has been named the Best Live Music Event in Cornwall at this year’s What’s On Cornwall Awards.Last year Looe Music Festival brought in £2.5m of consumer spending to the town during festival week.
One highlight is the BBC Introducing stage, with a selection of upcoming artists handpicked by the BBC’s new talent team.
The festival will also see unexpected musical treats popping up and spilling out of the bars and restaurants into the town’s streets.
Event director and trustee Tanya Brittain said: ‘This is three days of superb live music in a magical setting on the stunning Cornish coast. It’s a great late festival, which extends the summer season for local business and revellers.’
