Walked in the Torch Light Procession on the 16th December, through East Looe from the sea front. Weather held off for us, last year was the same - somebody up there likes us. It was a fantastic sight to behold, torches coming from the Globe Corner, through Millpond and West Looe Square. It was more popular than ever this year, with a lot more people taking an interest in their beautiful town of Looe.

The following week, the switching on of the Christmas lights, with Father Christmas coming off the train, and all his little helpers, especially the pussy cat, and of course, the icing on the cake, the Looe lugger 'Du Kerens' belonging to Mike Darlington in the centre of the harbour, just down from the bridge, like a figure head all on its own, its lights forming a silhouette of its sails. Well done! Ten out of ten! It took a battering in the strong winds over Christmas but it held its own and is still radiating its Christmas cheer of rope lights.

Enjoyed New Year's Eve at my favourite watering hole, with thanks to the landlord at the West Looe Social Club, The Rivercroft and Harbour moon. A prosperous New Year to everyone.
