A WOMAN has sustained life-changing injuries after being hit by a car in the centre of Looe.
Police said that the car collided with the 81 year old pedestrian just before 1pm yesterday (Monday).
“As a result of the collision, the pedestrian has sustained life changing injuries. She was taken to Derriford Hospital where she is being treated,” said police.
“The occupants of the car were not injured.”
The driver of the vehicle, a black BMW Z4 convertible, failed to stop after the collision, but has since been located and is helping Police with enquiries.
Local officers as well as Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team attended the scene.
