Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision on the A388 at Treburley near Launceston yesterday morning.
A woman in her 60s from Callington and a man from the Liskeard area in his 60s were confirmed deceased at the scene of the crash.
Both were travelling in a minibus which was in collision with a Heavy Goods Vehicle at the Lezant turn off.
Three other people also travelling in the minibus sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the HGV, who is from the St Austell area and in his 60s, was uninjured. He will attend a voluntary attendance interview in due course, said police.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall RPT alongside Collision investigation and scenes of crime officers and specialist Commercial vehicle officers attended the scene and the road was closed for several hours to allow a thorough investigation and safe recovery of both vehicles.
