Police have issued a warning to walkers parking at local beauty sports not to leave valuables in their cars.
In the last few weeks Callington police have received two reports of thefts from vehicles which occurred within 24 hours of each other while the owners had gone walking.
The first incident took place at between 2pm and 2.30pm on Wednesday, September 16, near Cadsonbury Hill Fort, near Newbridge. A window of the vehicle was smashed and a handbag was taken.
The next day, between 1pm and 2pm, a purse was taken from a vehicle parked in one of the car parks on Kit Hill.
