TWO people were released from their vehicles by firefighters after a collision on the A388 in the St Mellion area this morning – and the road is still closed in both directions, say police.
The crash involved four vehicles altogether, including a motorbike.
Fire engines from Saltash, and the Bodmin crash rescue tender were called to the scene at around 6.30am during very icy conditions.
Crew found two casualties trapped in their vehicle and used crash rescue equipment to release them.
Four casualties are believed to have been taken to hospital and police were also at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: "Traffic is stationary due to accident, with a motorbike involved from the St Mellion turn off (St Mellion) to Vollards Lane (Saltash)."Meanwhile the A374 between Trerulefoot and Milladon Lane has also been blocked with queueing traffic due to an accident.
