Police investigating a burglary in Pelynt have released images of a man to whom they would like to speak.

The burglary took place between September 27 and Thursday, September 30.

A man accompanied a second-hand dealer to an address in Pelynt, and sold him various items from the house. The man told the dealer that the property had belonged to his deceased parents.

It was arranged that the dealer would do a house clearance at the property in the next few days and the man gave him a house key.

However, the second-hand dealer became suspicious and returned the following day to make enquiries. Neighbours confirmed that the property was in fact a holiday home and the real owners were contacted.

The man went to the second-hand store two days later and was challenged by the dealer.

The man then left in a black Mercedes which was missing its bonnet emblem and had damage to the bonnet.

Police believe the man pictured may be able to help with enquiries. If you recognise him, please email police on [email protected] or call 101 quoting reference number CR/069280/16.
