50 years ago, in June 1967, Devon and Exeter Police, Cornwall County Constabulary and Plymouth City Police officially amalgamated to become the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary.

To celebrate the anniversary, three open days will be held across the area for the public.

The open days run between 10am and 2pm on the dates below:

Saturday, June 10 – Bedford Square, Exeter.

Saturday, June 17 – Lemon Quay, Truro.

Saturday, June 24 – Plymouth Hoe (Armed Forces Day).

Representatives from across the Force will be attending, with a particular focus on operations, including the drone team, a police dog handler, and firearms and armed response vehicle (ARV) officers.
