An 11-year-old boy was hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing outside Liskeard Community School at 4.15pm yesterday afternoon.
An ambulance was called and the boy was treated for his injuries at home.
The driver of the silver-coloured 4x4 failed to stop and is now being sought by the police.
