A motorist was trapped in a vehicle after a collision in Biscovey Road, St Blazey, yesterday afternoon. A fire appliance from St Austell and the rescue tender from Bodmin were called for by an ambulance crew at the scene. Firefighters freed the injured motorist using a fire service winch and the casualty was treated by paramedics.
