A MAN has sustained potentially life-changing injuries following a serious crash near Otterham.

Police were called to the A39 near Otterham at around 6.30am this morning (Wednesday, September 23), following a report of a two-vehicle collision.

As a result of the crash, the road was closed in both directions, with slow traffic reported due to the accident between Tresparrett turn off and Marshgate turn off. It later reopened at around 10.43am.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that a man in his 40s was extracted from his vehicle by fire crews and was taken by ambulance to Derriford Hospital where he is being treated for potentially life-changing injuries.
