THE lifeguard unit at Seaton in South East Cornwall has been put in place on the beach this week ready for a full flagged service in operation from Saturday July 4.

A spokesperson for the RNLI said: ’We are delighted that Seaton Lifeguard Unit has been installed. Lifeguards will be operating a surveillance only patrol for seven days from Saturday 27th June to allow lifeguards to familiarise themselves with the new working protocols on the beach, and will operate a full flagged service from Saturday 4th July.’
