Firefighters from Lostwithiel helped tackle a house fire in Bodmin early this morning.

Appliances from Bodmin and Lostwithiel were sent to the fire in Higher Bore Street shortly after 5.30am.

Crews confirmed there was a fire in a first floor bedroom and used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to put out the flames.

A fire investigation is being conducted to determine the cause.
