Two fire appliances from Delabole, one fire appliance from Wadebridge and the rescue tender from Bodmin answered reports of persons trapped following a road traffic collision where one of the vehicles had collided with a property, bringing down a power cable, at China Down, St Teath this morning.

On their arrival, the firefighters confirmed that no-one was trapped and that one casualty was in the care of paramedics.

The fire crews assisted by cordoning off the area around the power cable and making the vehicles safe. Western Power Distribution engineers attended to make the power cable safe and a Cornwall Council structural engineer is attending to inspect the property
