DRUGS and cash have been seized by police from vehicles on their way into Devon and Cornwall after intelligence-led stops.

Officers have seized 9 kilos of cannabis, 1.2 kilos of cocaine, 1 kilo of heroin and £30,000 in cash in the past week, said Devon and Cornwall’s Road Crime Unit (RCU). The RCU said they had worked alongside the Armed Response Unit, Roads Policing Unit and specialist detectives to make the hauls.

Five people are currently under investigation for drug supply offences, said the RCU.
