Saltash Sailing Club hosted the 19 boats which competed over two days in this year’s J24 Autumn Cup.
The light and frequently changing wind made Saturday’s racing a challenge for the best of tacticians with three windward leeward races in Plymouth Sound bringing out the best in the competitors and each race having a different winner.
Day 2 saw two races set in the River Tamar near the mouth of the Lynher on triangular courses in an increasing breeze.
In the final analysis consistency was the key to success and after taking out the discard, Paget prevailed to take the J24 Autumn Cup from Jawbreaker and Jineration X, with the Westerly prize taken by Dave Moore’s Jiffi.
