Plymouth Argyle this afternoon announced the signing of striker Nathan Blissett from Devon rivals Torquay United for an undisclosed fee.
But he won’t be able to make his Pilgrims’ debut against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday in the FA Cup third round tie, having already appeared in the competition for the Gulls earlier this season.
The 26-year-old became the Pilgrims’ second capture of the January transfer window after the arrival on Wednesday of Jakub Sokolik, released by Southend.
Blissett, the nephew of former Watford and England striker Luther Blissett, scored 12 goals in 41 appearances for the Gulls, who he joined a year ago.
He becomes the first person Argyle have paid a fee for since Paris Cowan-Hall arrived at Home Park in June 2012.
Blissett has been allocated the number 13 shirt for the Greens.
