Plymouth Argyle have put themselves back in with a great chance of automatic promotion.
The Battle of the Ports saw Argyle triumph 2-1 against Portsmouth on Saturday and then, on Tuesday, Derek Adams’ men pulled off a 3-1 win versus Leyton Orient.
These results left Argyle in fourth place, outside the automatic promotion positions but only on goal difference.
The battle for the remaining two automatic promotion berths would now seem to be between Argyle and three other teams, Accrington Stanley, Oxford United and Westcountry rivals Bristol Rovers.
Each has three games to play. Accrington are on 78 points, Oxford and Argyle have 77 and Rovers have 76.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Argyle taken on bottom-of-the-league Dagenham and Redbridge at Home Park (3pm). The Daggers have already been relegated from the Football League.
On Saturday, April 30, the Pilgrims face Cambridge and the final League Two fixture of the season for Argyle is against Hartlepool United at Home Park on Saturday, May 7.
