So far this afternoon driving conditions are very poor – with reports of flooding on the A374 in the Torpoint area – but snow has not so far affected South East Cornwall.

It is reported to be snowing over the eastern edge of Bodmin Moor around Caradon Hill, but nothing has yet settled.

But the Met Office is forecasting sleet and snow showers overnight across Cornwall, particularly over Bodmin Moor. Clear skies elsewhere could lead to widespread frost and ice.

Further sleet and snow showers are forecast on Friday, particularly over the hills.

It will be feeling bitterly cold in the wind.

Services are advising motorists to leave extra time for journeys and be patient, especially tomorrow morning.
