A GROUP of volunteers from Fowey were blessed with warm, sunny weather during their quarterly survey of the rocky shore at Readymoney Beach this month.

Excellent conditions and a super low spring tide gave volunteers a chance to explore and carry out the survey as part of the Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Shoresearch Cornwall Project.

During their Rockpool ramble, the volunteers found a diverse array of marine life living within the nooks and crannies of the shallow pools.

Seaweed, crabs, spiny starfish, a sea mouse, worm pipe fish, limpets, periwinkles, kelp beds, berried crabs and dog whelk eggs were amongst the wildlife that was found.
