Torpoint Athletic are hoping to beat the freeze as they stage one of the biggest nights in their history when they play their first game under floodlights at The Mill (7.30 pm).

Cross-Tamar rivals Plymouth Parkway provide the opposition for an occasion that should draw a huge crowd to a revitalised Torpoint as the club continue to improve the facilities at their ground.

It is the result of the hard work of a dedicated bunch of committee members and helpers at The Mill, who will be out in force to see their ground lit up and staging floodlit football for the first time.

The Tamarsiders are hoping to have central defenders Gavin Woodward and Paul Partridge, plus midfielder Bradley Yeo, available for selection. Woodward has been making good progress with his ankle injury and Partridge is free of work commitments, while Yeo has completed a lengthy suspension and negotiated 90 minutes for the reserves last weekend.
