Shipton set to captain County at Twickenham
East Cornwall has reason to be even more delighted than everyone else at the selection of Dean Shipton to captain the Cornwall Rugby Squad in the Tetley's Bitter County Championship at Twickenham on May 22. The big Launceston No 8, with the grin to match, is from Kelly Bray, which makes the Caradon area justifiably proud of his achievement.
He led the team all the way to last year's final and he has done it again, but this time Cornwall wants him to experience the joy of lifting the trophy. So far Shipton has steered the black and gold crew handsomely. 'Go for it "Deano" the whole of South East Cornwall is right behind you.
