A 'hero' soldier who was injured in the bomb blast that killed a Torpoint Rifleman last year has died in a road accident the day after leaving a rehabilitation centre.

Rifleman Ross Robinson, who was involved in the evacuation of his close comrade Sam Bassett in Afghanistan, was killed in Wiltshire the day after he was discharged from the centre.

The 21-year-old from Leeds had been recovering from a back wound caused by the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that killed Rifleman Bassett in November last year.
