Saltash almost pulled off a shock win over County One side Roche in the Hawkey Cup at Landulph on a gloomy Tuesday evening.
After a positive start, Adam Stevenson ran out Adam Trudgeon for 17 and then brilliantly caught hard-hitting Antiguan Dolston Tuitt out on the boundary for 25.
Ross Braund and Anthony Davies regularly took wickets to restrict Roche to 139 for nine, Adam Brenton making 30 not out and Paul Emery a useful 24.
