A PATCH of land in Saltash is going under the hammer with a guide price of just £250 – but it comes with a rather unusual feature.

The freehold of Highfield Park play area, in Latchbrook, has been put up for auction after Cornwall Council instructed its sale.

The plot measures around 0.04 acres and is listed as Lot 13 in the November online auction held by Clive Emson Auctioneers.

Its guide price of £250-plus makes it the cheapest of 14 Cornish lots included in the sale.

The auction features 169 lots across England and closes on Thursday, November 5.

While £250 might not buy much these days, it could be enough to secure ownership of this small parcel of land in Saltash – although the guide price is not a guarantee of the final sale price.

The Highfield Park plot is among a range of properties and land being offered to bidders across Cornwall in the auction.
